Bill,

I went to Ohio State and watched Heeter ( G ) play several times and was wondering if he will be getting signed or are the Flyers even looking at him??

Nice read BTW

poor ol' kim

I forgot all about the plastic tube thing on his wrist. I do remember Kappanen having to play d. Think homer needs to bring in a voodoo priest or something to get this curse off our backs.

Thanks. Heeter was signed by the Flyers in the spring. Neil Little likes him quite a bit. He also did well at the Prospect Camp in July and is an extremely self-confident (even borderline cocky -- but in a good way) young goalie.

Even so, for right now, I think Heeter is slotted below Hovinen and Munroe on the Phantoms' depth chart. But that's written in pencil and can change in a hurry.

I know a foward like Kane isn't on the top priority list for the Flyers right now, but with the increase in rumor that he wants out of Winnipeg, I wonder what it would take?

wouldn't the Phantoms have a camp and if so, couldn't the mentioned players still attend that camp or is that not allowed?

Seems like they just want both Heeter and Hovinen to play as much as possible, and the best way to do that is to have them on separate teams. Let them both be starters, even if one has to do it in the ECHL.

Phantoms will still have their own training camp but there probably won't a rookie camp or the annual game against the Capitals prospects.

Also still to be determined if the Phantoms camp will be held in Voorhees or not.

One way to end JBo's ironman streak is to trade him to Philly...

Yup. Kimmo Timonen's 248-game ironman streak (which came to an end in the latter part of last season) was quite the rarity in the history of Flyers' defensemen.

I was just wondering if the invitees and kids like Laughton are allowed to participate in a Phantoms camp or are they not allowed because technically they are too young to be assigned to the Phantoms.

I can't believe all of those injuries. If it weren't for bad luck...

Since the NHL-CHL agreement has expired, the Flyers could technically do whatever they want (as of now). However, it appears as if the AHL will abide by the old agreement -- no CHL-affiliated players under age 20 -- until there's a new directive in place.

Not sure if that will apply only to the regular season or if preseason games are also included.

Dailey was a beast. I remember him as a big, heavily bearded wildman.

All those injuries, and Doug Crossman never got hurt. Damned pansy

Whats the asking price for Jay-Bo? Any word in Calgary about what they want?

Yup, couldn't get Crossman out of the lineup for nuthin' . Played his 78 to 80 games each and every year.
